Strategies for Improving Production Quality in Manufacturing Industries
Abstract
Production quality is a critical factor that determines the reliability, productivity, and competitiveness of manufacturing industries. High defect rates, process variation, and material inconsistencies are major challenges affecting output efficiency and cost. This research explores systematic strategies to improve production quality using lean manufacturing tools, Six Sigma methodology, statistical process control (SPC), and automation-based process monitoring. Analytical assessment reveals that waste reduction, process standardization, and digital inspection systems can significantly increase product consistency and reduce rejection rates. The findings indicate that integration of quality management frameworks and continuous improvement practices strengthens operational performance while minimizing production losses. The study provides actionable solutions for industries aiming to enhance product quality, customer satisfaction, and overall profitability.
