Abstract

Motion sickness, also known as travel sickness, is common condition that impacts many individuals when they are exposed to certain types of motion, such travelling in cars, boats, airplanes or amusement park rides. Certain medications can disrupt the body's equilibrium, resulting g in motion sickness. These may include antibiotics, anti-depressants, pain relievers and medications for treating neurological disorders. Drugs used in chemotherapy often exhibit adverse effects on vestibular system, enhancing susceptibility to motion sickness. Symptoms of drug induced motion sickness include dizziness nausea, sweating vomiting and fatigue. Examples for prevention of drug induced motion sickness are anti-emetic drugs, acupressure, avoiding triggering activities, hydration as well as nutrition and proper ventilation.  Finally, it is concluded that drug induced motion sickness can significantly impact an individual’s comfort and well-being travel or while undergoing medical treatment.
