Productivity Improvement by Using Daily Work Management in a Jewellery Manufacturing Industry
Abstract
Every Organization needs to excel from where they are to where they want to be. For that the organization must follow the best industrial practices to achieve their goals and succeed in their endeavour. All Organization has a wide range of best practices like Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Benchmarking, Innovation culture, 5S, Daily Work Management (DWM) board, Value Stream Mapping, Supply Chain Management (SCM) through Theory of Constraints (ToC) and Total Employee Involvement (TEI). These practices play a major role in increasing the Productivity, Customer Satisfaction, Quality Assurance, Profit, Safety, Employee morale and Environment. These practices have resulted in substantial benefits for the whole organization. These are not only limited to manufacturing practices but also for the service departments like Human Resources (HR), Time office and Canteen. Among these best practices Daily Work Management (DWM) plays a major role and its effectiveness in productivity improvement is discussed.
