SmartPark: A Web-Based Application for Real-time Parking Reservation and Management

Abstract


SmartPark is a web-based intelligent parking management system built using the Django framework. It enables users to discover parking lots, book slots in real time, complete payments through a simulated three-stage workflow, and receive QR codes for contactless entry. The system supports Progressive Web App (PWA) functionality for cross-platform installation, automated overstay detection with fine calculation, and a role-based admin panel. This paper presents the system design, implementation, legal considerations, findings, and future directions.
