Design and Fatigue Analysis of Automobile Alloy Wheel Rim of Four Wheeler Innova Crysta

Divya Raut, Gaurav Nagdeve

Abstract

In this project, an alloy wheel rim for the Innova Crysta four-wheelers will be designed using a parametric model created with CAD software. By gathering information from the current wheel rim of the Innova Crysta during the reverse engineering process.. In order to evaluate the design, the model must be analyzed, taking into account the restrictions such as ultimate stresses and variables for alloy materials under various load circumstances. This project's primary goal is to create a cad model of the wheel rim and use Ansys software to study the fatigue life of a four-wheeler rim by applying three different materials to the rim which is employed to identify structural features, Maximum load circumstances will be used for structural analysis, along with analyses of fatigue tools (life, safety factor, and alternative stress) and elastic strain and stress. Additionally, comparison is made based on outcomes.
