Optimization and Performance Analysis of Lathe Machine for Precision Machining

Awasare A

Abstract

The lathe machine is a fundamental tool in modern manufacturing, enabling precise shaping and cutting of materials through turning operations. This study explores the optimization techniques and performance parameters that enhance the efficiency and accuracy of lathe machining. The research focuses on factors such as spindle speed, feed rate, depth of cut, and tool material, which significantly influence surface finish and material removal rate. Computational simulations and experimental analyses were conducted to evaluate machining performance under various conditions. The results indicate that optimized parameters lead to improved productivity and reduced tool wear. This study provides valuable insights for industries aiming to enhance machining efficiency while minimizing operational costs.
