Abstract

The AgroSoil Monitoring and Steering System is a smart farming idea designed to monitor soil health and automate irrigation through IoT and cloud systems. The AgroSoil Monitoring and Steering System is informed by the ESP32 microcontroller that integrates between the Soil Moisture and NPK sensors to gather real-time data then analyzed and displayed on the Arduino Cloud Dashboard. The system auto controls irrigation pumps through a 5V relay module based on soil moisture status at the time of monitoring, while also efficiently utilizing water and minimizing manual labor. The system design is compact, utilizes breadboard build, and is flexible for different sizes of farms. Preliminary results yielded improved soil stability and moisture balance. This monitored the system performance through cloud while having the potential for AI integration to conduct predictive analysis which adds value to sustainable and efficient farming practices through data-driven decision-making.
