Abstract

A contemporary innovation in construction technique is the modular construction. The construction used factory-produced pre-engineered modules that are designed as per requirement. The assembly is executed on site depending on the design and site conditions. Modular units can be parts of walls, walls, ceiling, floor, entire of part of rooms, doors, windows, stairs etc. Even service spaces like toilets, lifts etc can be made in a pre-engineered module.
