Abstract

A drug called phenytoin is used to treat and control epilepsy, complex partial seizures, generalized tonic-clonic seizures, and status epileptics. It belongs to the class of medications known as anticonvulsants. This exercise describes the uses, effects, and side effects of phenytoin, a useful medication for treating epilepsy.
