Abstract

From automotive components and electronics to packaging and medical devices, plastics are used across a multitude of industries. Despite these benefits, the environmental impact of plastics poses a significant challenge to sustainability. This paper explores the role of plastics in engineering applications, their material properties that make them ideal for various functions, and the ecological concerns associated with their widespread use.
