Performance Optimization and Energy Efficiency in Gear Transmission Systems of Vehicles
Abstract
Gear transmission systems play a critical role in the mechanical performance and energy efficiency of automotive vehicles. This research focuses on analyzing conventional and advanced gear mechanisms with a focus on their mechanical losses, efficiency under load variations, and performance in real driving conditions. Recent innovations in materials, lubrication, and gear design (such as helical, planetary, and dual-clutch systems) are explored. The study includes a case comparison between traditional manual gearboxes and modern automated manual transmissions (AMT) in terms of energy efficiency, durability, and maintenance. Simulation and real-time data are used to validate performance metrics.
