Face Detection using ESP Cam-32

Jyoti Jain, Ayush Verma, Himanshu Pal

Abstract

This research paper presents the implementation of a facial recognition system using the ESP32-CAM board controlled by an Arduino board. The objective is to enable real-time monitoring of a remote location through an integrated camera in the ESP32 IOT board. The captured images are stored on a memory card while simultaneously being transmitted to a web server on a PC. The development of this remote monitoring system aims to provide a comprehensive solution for security, information reception, and transmission. The proposed application of facial recognition demonstrates efficient and satisfactory results in real-time simulations. The paper highlights the significance of facial recognition as a biometric technology, its various applications in authentication, access control, and video surveillance.
