Design and Optimization of Elliptical Geometries for Engineering Applications
Abstract
Elliptical shapes are widely utilized in engineering due to their unique geometric and structural properties, offering advantages in stress distribution, fluid dynamics, and mechanical efficiency. This paper investigates the design principles of ellipses and their application in diverse engineering domains such as mechanical components, structural systems, optical devices, and aerodynamics. Analytical methods and computational tools are employed to model elliptical geometries, evaluate performance metrics, and optimize designs for specific engineering requirements. Case studies demonstrate the influence of ellipse parameters—major and minor axes, eccentricity, and orientation—on system performance. The research highlights the potential of elliptical design in enhancing structural integrity, flow efficiency, and functional aesthetics, providing guidelines for engineers seeking innovative and efficient solutions.
