IoT Module Cross-Layer Design and Optimization Methods

Amrita Panchal

Abstract

It is evident that wireless networks serve as the foundation for modern technologies and lifestyles, which is why there is a growing need every day for high-speed, uninterrupted wireless networks. This gives the wireless network industry cause for further development. The idea of the widely utilized TC P/IP reference model in wireless networks is already recognizable to us. However, when new technologies advance, this reference model is unable to provide certain features like latency, QoS, data security, etc. However, scientists and researchers working in the field of communication have lately developed a method for creating this layered architecture known as cross-layered design architecture. In a cross-layered design, benefits such as integration and high adaptability are provided in addition to information sharing across all layers. Many cross-layer design architecture models have also been put out by different engineers and developers. However, there are a number of factors that must be taken into account before one version of this design may be accepted globally. Since this is a relatively new idea, there are several issues that must be addressed in order to create a trustworthy cross-layer design model. We are attempting to address the problems or drawbacks that must be resolved in order to improve network infrastructure in this study. We will also talk about how, if left unsolved, these problems could prove to be a huge disadvantage.
