Pyrogenium: A Homoeopathic Antibiotic
Abstract
ABSTRACT
An antibiotic is one of the types of antimicrobial substances that are active against bacteria and helpful either by killing the bacteria or by inhibiting the growth of bacteria, thereby preventing and controlling the infection caused by bacteria in the human body. Antibiotics are the backbone of allopathic treatment. But in corresponding to Antibiotics, in Homoeopathy, we have Pyrogenium, a nosode, prepared from the pus of a septic abscess, a dynamic Homoeopathic antibiotic. Pyrogenium is indicated in all types of septic conditions, such as septicaemia, enteric fever, chronic malaria, prominent poisoning, puerperal pyrexia, pyaemia, Bright’s disease, sewer gas infection, ulcers, abscesses, bed sores, and aftereffects of a miscarriage. Pyrogenium is the best remedy for all types of septic fever, indicating a severe infection. Even if a well-selected remedy fails to relieve or improve the case, we always think of Pyrogenium.
