INTEGRATED ENGINE LOCKING AND CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM WITH ALCOHOL DETECTION

Abstract


The rapid growth of urbanization and vehicular traffic has necessitated the development of intelligent traffic management and safety systems. This project focuses on designing and implementing an Arduino-based integrated system for automatic speed control, alcohol detection, and engine locking. Utilizing components such as the Arduino Uno, I2C LCD, RF 433MHz modules, motor driver, DC motor, and an alcohol sensor, the system enforces speed restrictions and prevents vehicle operation under the influence of alcohol. The proposed system enhances safety by combining automated compliance with speed regulations and real-time alcohol detection, reducing accidents and ensuring adherence to traffic laws. This report elaborates on the project’s objectives, methodology, components, advantages, limitations, and future prospects, providing a comprehensive understanding of the system’s functionality and real-world applications.
