Abstract

Osteoporosis is commonly encountered in older women ALONG with no underlying risk factors. This activity explains about an overall basic and specialist knowledge of osteoporosis in females. It discusses how to recognize the common risk factors for osteoporosis, both modifiable and non-modifiable. It will also help to identify the underlying mechanism of the disease and the role of various medications and lifestyle changes in correcting the identifiable risk factors. The function of the interprofessional healthcare team in diagnosing and treating osteoporosis is the main topic of this activity.
